Assessment Resources

NEW! Click here for information on
Departmental Assessment Grants

The purpose of this Web site is to provide resources for faculty and staff on the assessment of student learning outcomes. Assessment is the process of identifying important student learning goals and objectives, assessing those goals and objectives using both direct and indirect measures of student learning, analyzing the results, and using the results for the improvement of student learning.

At the course level, assessment encourates learner-centered teaching practices and provides important, corrective feedback for both students and instructors. At the program level, assessment encourages faculty to work collaboratively on important goals and objectives for the program and to more closely examine the effectiveness of the curriculum as a whole.

New resources are added on a regular basis, so please check back frequently. If you don't find what you are looking for, please contact us and we'll do our best to find the resources you need.
